Fresh House grocery

A neighbourhood grocery in Sankhamul, planned as a logistics room that also has to look fresh.

A grocery is a stock problem. Produce arrives daily, has to be faced up constantly, and the shop has to survive a wet crate being carried across it.

The fit-out is built around raked timber shelving that presents produce at an angle and can be restocked from the front, with the wet goods held to one end near the service door and the till on the exit side of the flow. Brick and timber are used because they take knocks; the produce is left to supply all the colour.
