The room has to hold a board meeting, a training session and a demonstration, which means one table and no fixed furniture around it.

A single long table runs the length of the space with everything else pushed to the walls: storage and display on one side, a screen wall at the head, and a library run along the back. A ribbed timber ceiling with a recessed light trough over the table pulls the height down to the table rather than the room, which is what makes a long space feel like a place to sit.
