A mall unit is a rented box with one open side, and everything depends on what happens in the first two metres of it.

The fit-out puts a low display island on the centre line just inside the opening, so there is something to stop at before the shop is entered, and keeps the perimeter as full-height black steel rail so stock density does not eat the floor. Track lighting is run to the walls rather than the middle, which keeps the merchandise bright and the circulation dim — the shop reads as lit shelves from the corridor.
